A volunteer group cleaned the city at Kandal Market

On 12nd Oct 2013 a volunteer group of 27 participants led by Urban Voice Cambodia team went to collect rubbish at Kandal Market on the street number 154 and 13. The starting point of rubbish collection started from Unaloum pagoda to night market (st. 108).

The first task force was started at 8am to 11:45am. Most of the participants are university students and community people.

Before going to the side visit to collect rubbish, Mr. My Sovann, Media Project Manager of Urban Voice presented Urban projects, current activities, how to submit report into Urban Voice website and task force activities to the attendees.

During the rubbish collection activities, all the participants expressed their exiting feeling that they have taken part with Urban Voice team to contribute their little help to clean the city. And they expected that they would be able to attend the next monthly task force again.

More importantly, they shared interests in loving their capital of Phnom Penh and they wish to become model citizens for others to follow and to sanitize and clean their surrounding environment in the city.

After the rubbish collection activities ended, all participants expressed that they were happy with these activities and wish to join the next task force activities as well.
