Since 2014, Urban Voice Cambodia has conducted several Task Force meetings, including social activities for cleaning the city and local field trips to poor urban communities and historical sites in Phnom Penh, with the participation of university students and urban residents.
On March 29th 2015, Urban Voice Cambodia will be visiting the Thma Koul community, a poor urban community located in Tmor Kol 1 Village, Choumchav commune, of the Dangkao district. With a total of 230 families, the Thma Koul community is now facing issues such as flooding along with settlement and eviction problems.

The purpose of conducting this local trip to the Thma Koul community is to enhance the participants’ clarity, understanding, and study focus on the community’s problems such as their living difficulties, living conditions, and employment issues that are occurring.  By joining Urban Voice Cambodia all participants will be allowed to take notes and pictures during the community visit. Furthermore, after the visit participants will have the chance to share their ideas and points of view about what they have learned and experienced from the community at Thma Koul.
The community visit with Urban Voice Cambodia is open and free for all participants. In addition, the participants will get an Urban Voice T-shirt, notebook and pen, together with a special lunch with the Urban Voice Team.

Should you be interested in visiting the Thma Koul community, please register with Urban Voice Cambodia. Participation is on a first come, first serve basis.
