Residents of Phnom Penh are currently concerning about trash issue surrounding their area. The stench smell of the garbage gives bad impact to people’s health, particularly young children. Even on the side streets, there has seen the rubbish dump without a proper package and keep. The rubbish collector’s company could not collect garbage on time.

Noticeably, in 2002, a company, known as INTRI Company was granted by Phnom Penh to provision of garbage collection services in Phnom Penh area. However, the issue is still existed without an appropriate solution.

Recent articles in both local and international media pointed out the trash issue, arising in Phnom Penh which it seriously affects to people’s health. People with bad health need to spend a lot of money to cure the ills.
