Please join us for the first meeting of the Urban Voice Task Force on Saturday Oct. 12! The Urban Voice Task Force is a volunteer group that meets on a monthly basis to discuss urban issues, the latest developments on Urban Voice, and give back to the city through mass clean-ups. The goal of the Task Force is to strengthen civic participation in the urban space both online through the Urban Voice site, and offline through clean-ups, while simultaneously raising awareness among the public about the project. Through participating in the Task Force, you will learn about concepts such as “right to the city” and how you can contribute to make Phnom Penh a better city for everyone.

Our first meeting will take place at the Urban Voice office at 8am on Oct. 12, 2013. The address is: 73b Street 97, near Chamkarmon Police Station. We will start by a short introduction to the Task Force and general discussion about Urban Voice, before heading to do a mass clean-up in Kandal market. All participants will be provided with the appropriate gear for the clean-up, including face mask, gloves, rubbish bags, raincoats and water. Everyone will also get a free Urban Voice T-shirt. Participants are kindly asked to wear covered shoes.

To participate, simply join us on Saturday the office, or e-mail or call Project Manager Sovann on 088 600 0321 for more details.

Hope to see you on Saturday!
