Urban Voice Mobile App Launched to Talk about What is Going on in Phnom Penh

While the total Cambodian population is just approximately 15 million, the mobile SIM card subscribers’ growth, however, has climbed up to a maximum level to 20.9 million at the end of 2015, according to a factsheet of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. The statistic revealed that mobile internet users have dramatically increased as about 6.3 million subscribers using their mobile phone to access online content. As a current tendency, SIM card subscribers tend to use their smartphone which plays as a significant method to connect with internet. According to the Asia Foundation, there is an average of 1.07 mobile phones per person in the Kingdom. As a consequence, Cambodia has developed a big leap of voracious appetite for social network, and online usage.

To generate maximal advantage from this mass online social trend, plus ambitious objectives, Urban Voice Cambodia officially launched the Urban Voice Mobile App, the leading and most updated mobile engagement instrument that will provide a vividly platform to Phnom Penh residents to report about their significant concerns on urban issues ranging from traffic congestion, garbage management, blackout, flooding, public transportation and new development project and urban’s expansion.
